I was playing 2v2 with my lock against a druid/lock and the pet would completely disappear without losing any health. This happened 3 times in the fight, which made it impossible to run the druid out of mana. After talking to someone they said that it was because the druid got too much distance on the fel hunter causing it to despawn. Has this happened to anyone else and does blizzard know that it is an issue?

Were you on ruins of "Gay"adon?

Because the only way to prevent that would be if blizzard extended the distance on when pets despawn.

In nagrand and blade's edge they can get stuck in pillars. Which are known bugs.

it can also happen in nagrand and blade's edge, its just a lot more difficult - you have to be basically as far away as the arena will allow.

yes, this sucks, but its part of the current game, and you basically have to play around it. if you want to get a high rating and be competitive, you play to win - this means doing it to other teams, and realize when its being done to you, so you counter it by bringing your pet near you if you're cced or having your partner switch to the other team's healer so he can't drink.

It's not a bug, you learn not to run out of range of your pet at level 5 when you get a pet.

Considering that night was the first time we had that happen to us, multiple times at that -- we anticipated a potential bug in Arenas. Thanks for your insightful input.

The only thing with pulling my pet off of the Druid to bring it back is that the Druid gets to drink, so we might as well just let the pet disappear. Any thoughts?

The obvious solution would be to not be on the other side of the map from the druid =)

It's well annoying, but after the first time it's pretty easy to avoid mostly. As paladin/warlock playing against druid/warlock you shouldn't really have anything else to blow fel domination on anyways.

On Ruins of Lordaeron you should be staying on top of the druid anyways. If he goes into that little room, you can keep him in there and get some serious drains off and put some pressure on him.

RoL is the worst map for druids to kite on.

i would use this tactic to fuck other locks up. fear them, COex them, while the druid sprints in travel form in the other direction. works on any map. very effective. i started this after i learned my own lesson of my demon going "poof"

incidentally, this was my first toon, and i did not know of this until 60's from raiding. at least they implemented a soul shard refund when you did it. /abyss shard. /run away=soul shard back in BWL =D

Learn your distance. Your pet has a relatively long distance that it can go before it despawns, you just have to make sure that you are within that distance so that it doesn't.

Lol, that was me and my partner Malevolent that you were talking about. :D

And yes, we intentionally set up CC to do it on ruins and nagrand.
