holy pally+ sl/sl lock vs priest/hunter

well..this is the one team that gives us a load of trouble...we came up against a gladiator priest with the focus gem to make his mana burns literally 1 second casts when it procced..and the hunter stacked poisons/applied viper stings constantly...we arent really sure what we could have done to beat them, i kept freedom on myself and kited like a madman but when freedom was down, the hunter didnt have much of aproblem running up to me and wing clipping/applyingviper sting...when i wasnt in los of mana burn, he mana burned my warlock partner...our plan was to have my warlock mana drain the hunter out of mana and keep him fully dotted..but mainly mana drain his mana do reduce viper stings etc...any tips on how to beat this lineup?

Kill the hunters pet by pulling it out of LoS. Once it's dead you can drink all you want.

Here is a few things my warlock and i do.

1) oom the hunter first...this slows his dps on top of you kiting the hunter
2) regen on the pet...judgement of wisdom on the pet and keep the seal on yourself.
3) Have your lock throw a few dots on the pet, if he drops below 20% finish him off but if not then just keep regening on the pet. The hunter will most likely mend pet but if he is oom he might not have the mana for it. It might be tough with prayer of mending bouncing as well, so i wouldn't go all out killing it though. Regen off the pet at the very least.

--Your rating is high enough so im assuming that you are already fearing the hunter but if not...make sure you do that.

Exactly what we would do, Arasen. Until you are OOM, I would imagine you should remain near 80-100% hp. Viper Sting lasts how long? 7-9sec roughly? Psychic Scream is another one I don't really know for sure. Anyway.

From the point of you being OOM WITH a Viper Sting on you they would have ~8sec to burn you down while you remain @ 0 mana, as soon as the Viper Sting wears I would imagine the priest would psychic scream making a total of ~15 sec to burn you down. That's considering you have ALL CD's down.

Between Nachtan and I, he summons me both the top HS and the next one down (1440 I think?) With trinket, bubble, HS, AND LoS'ing while having Snowwy fearing, mana draining, curse of tongue, exhaust, w/e. No hunter should be able to burn you down. From the point of their execution failing (hopefully it does) you should be able to LoS and rank 1 heal the rest back to full. By then while the priest has exposed himself trying to support the hunter burning you down, Snowwy should have gotten a load of drains on him AND the hunter if he hadn't had him OOM also yet.

NOTE: If Snowwy can mana drain the hunter before he mana drains you, he will be most likely be auto shotting while trying to burn you down from nearly full hp within 8-15sec while also factoring in that you SHOULD still have the majority of your CD's available and are able to LoS him.

P.S. You're lucky you got to play against them if it is in fact who you've been playing with. They claimed we wouldn't beat them on any arena, but BEM. Now they won't queue with us :p

Me and my 2s partner have played Snake twice, won both. Warlock just dotted up his pet aswell as both the hunter and priest, then just started mana draining the priest. I just had to make sure to get the scorpid poisons off right as they were applied so they didn't get overwhelming and make it impossible to dispel viper sting. If you get in a bad position where you have a full stack of poisons (snake trap + scorpid poisons) don't hesitate to bubble then, especially if the priest is about to mana burn. So anyways, when the pet got semi low from dots, i would pull it around a pillar and nuke it down. This leaves me free to drink and is basically gg as long as you pay attention to the hunter and don't let him rez his pet. If you can't kill the pet, just drain the priests mana while making sure to cleanse poisons as quickly as you can. CoEx the hunter and abuse pillar line of sight to make it even harder for him to drain you. Other then that, just be careful to dodge the mana burns and dispel yourself quickly.
