View Full Version : How to deal with warrior/pally in Lordaeron?

As the title says, I have trouble getting away from warriors in Lordaeron as the paladin can JoJ me easily and there's not much room to LOS.
This leads to me wasting a lot of mana shifting and running oom or just plain dying.
What should I do differently? I usually just go into bear form and run in a "figure-8" pattern around the coffin-thing in the middle, should I try to go to the starting points?

Feral charge the paladin every time the warrior intercepts you..

Pala will stick to him or los him if he's any good. And there's no need for warrior to intercept in first place :z

Exactly that.

This is a classic problem. I dunno what combo you are running, but you need to ask your partner to give you as much help as possible keeping the warrior busy with other things. I run War/Druid, so on that arena we go toe 2 toe with warriors if possible, because honestly there is not a whole lot we can do.
IMO-- Blizz needs to make the coffin a different object, one that cant be walked over....

Yes, abuse the start areas. You have to be able to outlast JoJ at least once, so be ready for that. Bash and travel form towards one of the start areas, if the warrior blows trinket and intercepts, make sure your warrior is ready to immediately intercept him back. This should give you the second necessary to get a head start on the warrior. Go down into the start area and wait for the warrior to follow you. Root him if he doesn't have freedom.... cyclone him if he does, and run away towards the other start area, healing your warrior if necessary.
End story, CC'ing the opposing warrior down in a start area makes it VERY difficult for the opposing pally to help him, assuming your warrior is on him.

with any luck it will be a gnome with a skillherald, in which case i recommend emptying your bowels before the fight starts, as i hear it helps you to run faster.
screw.
ruins.
ps. just make sure the one without freedom is hammied, and do whatever you can to gtfaway from that one. this is really only doable if you manage to split them up.
As Taffy said, you gotta split them... unfortunately, Ruins is the most difficult arena to achieve this goal on. Its gonna take a lot of help from your warrior partner to top a good war/pally on Lord... Take refuge in the fact that Blade's Edge is far more biased for your team, and Nagrand is relatively neutral ground vs ths combo.
Running up and over the Tome in the middle is one of the better things you can do... other than that you hafta tank it out in bear and start running away when JoJ only has a few more seconds on it... eat the intercept in bear and then GTFO heading back to a starting point for a drink tick or two.
It takes clever timing as you time up your Travelform and go shift to a time when JoJ is down(or about to fade), BoF just expired, and Intercept isn't up... rarely do all 3 of these thigns happen at the same time, usually you only get 1 or 2. When you know all 3 are up, however, that is your time to shine. Get outta there and make them regret not reapplying JoJ fast enough.
Split em up, split em up, split em up, that's what you gotta do.
