I know there are alot of threads bout the benifits of going BR or FW and which one is better for each brackets but I wanted some opinions on how this disc set up might work.

First I wanna try and see what everyone thinks bout speccing disc next season. I can't like the spec since I'm at work and sites are blocked but i was thinking of speccing 42disc/18 holy with my last 4 points of holy into 2 blessed recovery and 2 points into reducing the cost of greater heals by 10%. I tried this spec out on the ptr and noticed my healing took a decent hit with myself having 1400 healing. I only had limited time to calculate that with all the new pvp and arena gear + healing enchants on everything I'll have around 1650-1700 healing (40 from the new arena armor, 80 something from the trinket and maybe 40 or so from the honor gear). I want to try and run with alot of healing/mana regen gems in my sockets to make up for loss of healing from the holy talents I pass up in order to get PS and FW. The main concern speccing disc to me is loss of bonus healing and reduction in mana cost of PoM and greater heals from speccing out of the current BR build. I'm not sure if this spec or gem set up might be good or not but anyone with more experience and time on the ptr could provide info and feedback on what would or could be better.

I plan on running 2s with a rogue and 3s with my normal warlock/priest/rogue and would like feedback from priest who have put thought into speccing disc instead of BR and its viability in S3 and what set ups/gear set up they plan on running. Sorry for not being able to provide more indepth info and better organized thread due to my limited time being able to research and experiment further.

I have tested both specs on the ptr and find that 2.3 disc still packs more utility with FW and PS packed into one tree. Priest survivability is still a concern against any rogue/dps 2s. I would consider 1400 heals a solid number and then stack stam. Taking PS/FW and other goodies in the disc tree outweighs BR and cheaper PoM/ SoR.

I'm going try some 34/5/22 or 34/3/24 hybrid junk first thing on 2.3. Free spelldamage from +healing and a survival talent you can get together with silence and imp mana burn makes it seem interesting. I hate the holy tree past the first 5 points anyway, the benefit is so marginal.

If that doesn't work out I'll try PS/holy but I don't expect it to be good anywhere but 5v5. I may even try to go full shadow in healing gear and not shift into shadowform - who knows if it could work or not until you try? Lots of respec gold to spend with all the changes coming in!
