Do you find practicing with your 2v2/3v3/5v5 partners in AB,Warsong or EoTS helps you in arena? Or do you find scrimming better?

Me and my partner are shooting for gladiator but we feel we need to practice more still, what do you find more beneficial? I would assume scrimming but since most people in scrims are undergeared and PUGs maybe that wouldn't help much.

just grab a druid or pally, and then have the rogue get a priest. better to do that than risk with double dps if you are not sure you'll get it.

If anything I would say I do worse because I play terrible people in BG's or scrimmages and then go right into a 2300 game.

I try to just pay attention and focus on what I am doing.

the only thing good about BGs and scrims is the ability to put yourself at an immediate disadvantage (ie, get outnumbered on purpose). i think it helps in familiarizing you with every potentially important ability and reacting with the proper abilities

otherwise, BGs for me consist of just mowing people down or getting the fuck zerged out of me to the point where i can't even move my dude and i want to punch a baby in its mouth

I like to warm up by dueling the people on my team or other skilled players in the area. It just gets me ready by letting me know how fast I need to be reacting. It's also a quick check to make sure all my hotkeys are in order becuase I switch spec's between raiding and arena.

It probably doesn't help build strategies, and most of the people you encounter are significantly less geared and organized, but it does help you and your partner stay in sync and react quickly to various situations.

As other people have said, it's great to warm up and get into a PvP mindset before you begin your more serious games. And really, it's hilarious to go into a WSG game with one or two friends and just lay waste to an entire team.

BG's do help your arena game a bit, but not very accurately. They're great to learn how other classes work, and oftentimes you can put yourself in a 2v1 situation, and it's going to make you overall better in arenas if you can successfully pull it off.

However, if you go in a BG with your favorite healer, it's not going to help out at all. 2 skilled players can take out over half of a team in no time, and it's just something to mess around with. The best way to improve your own skill in arenas is really to find some world pvp with some of the best players on your server, or just do a ton of arenas, lose them all (most of them), and come to terms with how you're going to beat them. As you progress, you're going to get more intricate strategies per team and it'll be the only way to be completely successful in arenas.

BGs can help teach you how to react to various things and to use your teams strengths to your advantage. That being said, the difference is that the map never changes in arenas whereas where you fight changes quite often in bgs. Just doing a lot of bgs can help you familiarize yourself with where your partners are going to be all the time and get a feel for how they move and where everyone needs to be.

BGs = more emphasis on personal skill, class skill, knowledge of (all) class mechanics.

Arena = more emphasis on class synergy, teamwork, and tactics.

This is not to say the first is not important of course! (Because it is very important!) But if you think you are lacking in any of those points I mentioned for BGs, then doing BGs will help your arena game. If not, then it won't help you so much.
