I was recently approached by a druid i had no idea existed and was asked if i wanted to try a 2v2. Of course, i said yes, and a week and a half later, here we are, at 2148.

Here's the dilemma - According to the new info on the inactive cuts, assuming they cut out, say, 10k of the 35k-so teams in my bg (rampage) we'll need a 2160 rating to get our gladiator title. The question is, does 10k sound like a fair number on the 2v2 inactive cuts? if it were a bit less, we'd already be in gladiator range.

Most of you probably know that around this rating, in terms of risk-reward, the risk is high, and the reward is low. We're currently on a 17 game winning streak for the weekend but we've only been gaining 5-6 points a match. If we were to lose a single match... there goes gladiator. Should we try to bump up our rating for a cushion on the glad rank? if so, what would you say is an ideal rating?

opinions appreciated :D

I would say keep going to at least 2.2k to be safe. You will have ALOT of people start pushing hard when the 2 week notice is given until s3.

Just do 10 games a week to be safe

10 k teams? every team needs 20 games played with at least 1 person above 20% season games played the amount of teams that that will cut back will be no where near 10k I'd say 2k teams maybe?

So does that mean some top ten teams that have alts "holding" the team won't be considered because of the 20% rule, since leaving a team resets your games played.

For example

and

Being in your battlegroup, I can tell you almost definitely, your current rating won't be safe. There's still at least 3 weeks left of the season judging by all the bugs still on the PTR, and even if your rating cuts it now, it won't by then. Definitely try to raise it. Queue during prime time if you can, a lot of the 2200+ teams queue between 4 PM Pacific Time and 11 PM Pacific Time in our battlegroup, especially on weekends, allowing you to fight games for low risk and high reward (assuming you can beat the 2200+ teams). Good luck on Gladiator!
