View Full Version : [5v5] thoughts on this setup
we're sitting at 2102 as Warrior/Mage/Hunter or Lock/Paladin/H.Priest, but recently our paladin quit and sold his account. With literally almost no other good paladins on our server (let alone good players in general), would a resto druid work in this setup? we were thinking mage/warrior/lock/druid/h.priest, using the power of druid/lock/warrior synergy and having the priest for dispels/burns/extra heals and me for melee cc/cs, and then switching out me with the hunter for the same purposes, but with extra burns.
mage / lock / druid / priest / warrior is definitely a good setup at least on my battlegroup (vengeance). the whole idea is CC'ing the DPS, drain, and let most of the DPS come from the warrior (with a rotation from the mage when a burn is called). whittle the other team down and drop someone eventually. this team is extremely good at keeping someone from dying.
i don't know about switching the hunter out for the mage. only thing i think the hunter would bring over the mage would be viper sting.
the hunter switching for me is very good, i do 3s with him and we're at 2212 at the moment, but while frost trap doesnt make up for sheep as much, viper sting is an extra drain to put pressure on paladins. he still has a silence and scatters, but im not sure if cyclone can keep melee off enough for it to work. either way we're gonna try it, if any hunter on our server can pull it off its him.
