Simple question for the shadow priests: do you use it?

I do. I've heard people argue that its not mana efficient for the dmg it deals and all that jazz. Don't know if its true, wondering if anyone has done research on it or proved its really bad to use.

IMO it'd be stupid not to use any means of shadow damage available to you, mana efficient or not.

Thats like arguing that putting swp on people with dispelers on the team is pointless.

Any extra bit of damage helps... the mana back to the rest of your team mates is pretty amazing as well.

its one of the best spells, high dps and mana return for the team.
ofc you need to judge the circumstances, dont stand in the middle of the arena and try to cast it when 3 dps clases nuke you down ofc.
but if you have some room put it at least on the main focus target
