Resto s2 vs s3

What I want, is to try restoration in s3, and play in a 4 dps team consisting of:
Shadow Priest, Mutilate or Combat Rogue (He's not sure about spec), Frost Mage, Affliction Warlock and me.

So - my question would be, with the mana regain "nerf" (or change from mp/5 to spirit) would it be better to stick to old looks and get myself a restoration version of Merciless Gladiator's armor, or should I use the season 3 restoration?

As a 4 DPS group you probably won't notice much of a difference in regen. The fights will, for the most part, be short enough that an early Innervate should give you as much or more mana than the mp5 on the season 2 set.

It's only in the case of fights longer than 4 minutes or Innervate getting dispelled that Spirit has problems.
