For my 5v5 I run the tried and true Mage/Warrior/Paladin/Priest/Shaman setup. The biggest problem we had the other night workin' our way up was a 4-dps team consisting of a Paladin/Rogue/S.Priest/Mage/Shaman. We tried a few strats:
1) Kill the shadow priest, sheep rogue then mage at DR. This didn't work because the shaman had a fun time blowin' up our warrior.
2) Kill shaman, same sheep rotation. This didn't work because the S.Priest still put out too much burst.
3) Kill rogue, sheep shaman then mage. This didn't work because once DR was up on the shaman for the sheep, he just unloaded on our warior and he went down.

We did not have the luck to run into them again, but our next idea was to burst down the paladin, land a pro mass dispell, and then get on the shaman. I would CC the rogue/mage in this scenario.

Other than that, we're at ends. This team took quite a few points from us and we couldn't figure out a good way to beat 'em.

I would also like to note that the paladin had the Illidan mace and some other nice BT gear. We noticed this in the 3rd match and is why we figured it would be best to get on him. His healing was absolutely insane.

So yea, any help would be awesome. This is the last big hurdle we have to get over (we've got the strats for all other teams down pat). I plan on gettin' into glad range next weekend = )

A lot of fighting 4dps teams is positioning. Having a healer stand next to a pillar is always a good idea. The warrior just needs to realise when he's likely to die, and intervene to them and run out of LoS. This cuts out a lot of potential burst. Yes it makes it hard for you to kill one of the opposing team, but if you outlast their initial burst you're much more likely to win the game.

Teams use a paladin in the 4dps setup primarily because you can't get on him. Generally he will pre-bubble to heal as soon as you put any decent damage on one of his teammates.

Also make sure your shaman is doing some backup healing, this can be vital to not having a team member die.

We haven't lost to a 4 dps team in ages, against them i would've gone on shadow priest, while sheeping the shaman while counter spelling the mages frost school. I'm going to assume they were on your warrior have him intervene back away from dps, it will die down and he can go back out. Have ele sham spam purges on the shadow priest non stop and he will drop very fast, only threat is the huge burst elemental shamans offer which must be losed/sheeped something if they are free for too long /wave to your warrior
