LF advice on how to spend arena points

I currently have 4848 arena points and I have a s2 sword + shield + throwing axe with 5/5 armor. I use a vindicator's brand with my shield currently.

I was wondering if it might be worth it to blow 3k and grab a 1hander. I'm a little worried that s3 might be approaching sooner than I can make up for it though.

Alternatively, I was thinking of just picking up a cheap 1k offhand or something.

Blizzard has repeatedly stated that they will give 2 weeks notice on s3, so buy a 2650 1h.

2056 in 3s should mean around 1k points a week? if you get a 1h now and maintain a steady 1k points a week progress you will definitely make up for it.
or you could buy a battlestaff and put a crazy enchant on it like i did;)

Buy an item monday night (not too late, since if you do it within a few hours of the reset, you might not get an item. Before midnight's safe though) and you'll have 3 point rollovers to refill your points on at minimum, which would be around 2800ish pts for you, I think. Which would be enough to get the 2650 1her, and get you within a few points of the 5000.
