Bugged Teams?

This might be a sensitive topic but the regular WoW forums are yielding no answers...

I'm on a 5v5 team that began pushing towards 1900-2000 rating. Today there was some strange events that caused me to wonder.

A particular team, full of S1 Gladiator title'd Members queued up against us and as we killed off one of their teammates, one character on that team logged out, AFK or something I'm not really sure.

We received --- points for it. That's what it showed on the scoreboard. When we looked at our Arena Status it showed no points, and not even a recorded win or loss against them.

Could they intentionally be cheating their way to the top? Another solution suggests that they Queued up for unrated and then accidentally got mixed with us. That seems plausible but the guys were talking a lot of smack for an unrated team.

I don't want the method or anything if it exists, I would just hope someone would acknowledge the problem.

He has a 5v5 ranked 6th in the BG but when you click on it you get a strange NaN thing. Not sure what that means. If anyone could help out it would be appreciated thanks!

happens quite a bit to us, just glitches in the arena match making system i think.

This will happen quite often when you start getting in the 2k+. All it means is that the team you played was > 200 pts bellow you. You don`t get any pts for beating teams that low below you, but if you lose... you are fucked. :)

Our 3s team was queing the other day at a very very late hour, no one was on. We ended up in a skirmish... I wonder what would have even happened if we lost.

Any game where there are no team names showing, is a game where one side queued rated, and one queued skirmished, and they somehow got paired. It can show a normal number, 0, or something ridiculous like -923583255 for the rating change, but it isn't counted as a game and it has no affect on rating.

I'm not sure what happens when you get a ---, I haven't seen more than 3-4 of those, but it isn't because the team is too low.

If the team is so low that you won't get points(around 400 below you), it shows up as a 0. It isn't 200, we were 2600+ 2v2 last season and still got 1-2 off 2200-2300.

We were matched up with a 1507 team as a 2087 team. If you don't even earn 1 point from the match, its will show the dreaded -12897332 points or -0 on your scoreboard.

no this happened on my 3v3 tonight and we are at around 1800. its a bug, i think the game thinks the match was a skirmish. people are being mis-qued maybe.

When the arena system can't find a match for you after so long it pairs you with people sub 1500, you smash them, and get ..... rating or 9874564239754237586 rating - thats always obvious though.

Ive won plenty of games where it is a legit match up and then it bugs out and your rating doesn't change or when you zone out and check your arena frame you actually lost rating instead of gained it. Ive also left a queue bc someone went afk right after we queued, and then 3-4 minutes later our rating was 20 points lower for a game we never got a chance to enter.

the entire system is buggy as hell.
