Ok, So i went to mmo-champions/Worldofraids and I looked the Season 3 mage set and looking at most stats so far so good. BUT from what i noticed in each piece we have less Intellect than in our Season 2 set.

It already has come obvious that in most brackets a lock would be preferred over a mage because of the good dmg, CC, Survivability and never runs OOM.

Already mages have been very rare to see high up in 2s and are becoming more scarce in higher 3v3 brackets.

Also with a hypothermia nerf coming means we will most likely be targeted more than ever witch means the extra mana from Evocate and the extra dmg from Frostbolt won't even matter.

You could say that the other buffs to our stats makes it worth it, or you could even say i'm sure it's just a bug and blizzard will properly fix it and no need to worry. But this has happened in s2 and took months to get fixed.

Anyway i wanted to use this to point it out to those who don't know, not sure if this has been posted on here or not but i also just wanted to use it to state my opinion on some things that have been going on.

ok bye

btw here are links to s3 and s2 sets

Was the same between season 1 and 2 for most of the caster sets as well. Pretty lame if you ask me. A better tier of a gear should NEVER sacrifice a stat that it already has. I don't want to lose stats by "upgrading" my items, even if it is for more dmg. They need to look at their itemizations if you ask me. Take off some of the armor and let me keep my stat points.

just give pvp gear more gem slots already and let people customize what stats they want to stack

I want meh int back. I started a thread on the general discussion hoping to get some attention from the CMs. They made this same fucking mistake last time and it took them a year to correct it. I'LL BE DAMNED IF THEY DO IT AGAIN!...Please bump...

If those 500 ish more mana would change your playstyle and enhance your abilities so greatly I pity you :(
90% of those mages we kill die with mana, except when I burned them.

500 mana is almost 10 more polymorphs, or 5 counterspells, or 10 frost novas. It does have the potential to make a big difference in a long match.

It's not that 500 mana will break us, it's just a step in the WRONG direction. Mages should be getting more mana as the seasons go on not less.

You shouldn't be asking for more mana, but asking for an effective change to spirit so you don't run out of mana so rapidly. Blizzard said they will change spirit for the expansion, but you should push them to do it sooner.

The extra int would just water down the set even more, what they need to do is rework mages mana regen the new evocation change is just a band aid over a shot gun wound.

Quote for truth. I supported your thread on the warcraft forums as well.

In a nutshell, S2 --> S3 = upgrade, yes?
Upgrades = increase in stats on gear, yes?
Then why must we sacrifice intellect to gain stam/armor? All of the stats should increase.

at least they're giving us a boost in damage..... although you can't do shit without mana

The main point is, even if it is just a couple hundred mana it is just showing how much attention blizzard is putting into our class and how this mistake isn't happening to any other class (That i know of).
