View Full Version : Capped Arena points, which pieces will you buy when 2.3 hits?

So for those of you with capped out arena points, which pieces will you be buying the day season 3 starts and why?
I'm leaning towards Gloves, Chest, and Helm. Gloves for the new bonus and chest and helm because I need to resocket anyway (and they look awesome).
Total comes out to 4875 points spent.

I think gloves chests and legs will give the biggest stat upgrade (mostly int and the glove bonus)
And why does the weapon have the same graphics? =(

I'm going for chest, gloves, and helm as well. Only wish you could buy the shoulders the first day.

No kidding. Same with the weapon. Thats the only reason I'm getting gloves/chest/helm.
And I'm not too upset about the weapon model not changing. To be honest, after looking at the new art for s3 (zul'aman art), I'm GLAD it isnt changing. There are a LOT of ugly weapons *coughmeleemacescough*

Definitely going gloves + x. Tossing up chest or helm. Currently i'm using a 18 stam 5 stun resist in my helm and was looking forward to using a MSD but with the recent nurfs i'm still not sure if i'm going to keep the stun resist meta. I guess a focus proc every 45 seconds is enough reason to keep a MSD??? Still sketchy about my s3 glove enchant as well, was testing pi/ps on the ptr, and it's a fair amount of healing lost from your current cookie cutter 38/33 spec. Tossing up 15 spellhit (which i currently have), and 35 healing :X.
Since the season 2 helm is awful I'm getting the S3 helm right away. Probably the S3 gloves and S3 pants next.

Healing wand + helm + gloves. I'm sick of looking at the s2 helm. Wand is a nice upgrade from my s1 wand, and the glove bonus is slightly more useful.
Im replacing my two season 1 pieces I still have which are gloves and helm, I never upgraded those as I feel S2 gloves/helm suck and season 1 is better. The other item I'm getting will most likely be the wand. The wand is a nice/cheap upgrade for everyone and I would recommend getting it early since its the biggest upgrade per arena point spent. But I think everyone will most likely be buying the gloves on opening day due to the equip change and the fact that they are much better then season 2 gloves which were crap. I will most likely hold off on buying the wand to see if we can break 2k on first week which would be a tough task but I forsee lots of top rated teams pushing for this to that they can buy the gear they want right away. If we do break 2k I will be buying the shoulders and the wand the next week.

Weapons, since I am still using a staff of infinite mystery :(. Next couple weeks after that I will upgrade my wand, which is still the wand from patchwerk and then my frozen shadowweave chest. I will replace the wand if patch doesn't come out in the next couple weeks.

Is the wand not considered a weapon requiring a rating?

I've noticed a few people saying they are going to buy the weapon... From what I've derived from posts about the rating system you wont be able to.
Will you be waiting until you have the 1850 rating to purchase the weapons or will you spend the points on other gear first so you don't have to wait?

Right, I don't think you will be able to the first week, but it does not take long at all to get to 1850, our team will very likely get to 1850 after the first week of the reset.

Wand/Chest/Gloves here. Replacing my green lvl 69 gloves and wand of the physician w00t.
Wand is going to be one of the better upgrades for holy priests no? Since all we had before was the DPS wand.

yeah, seems silly that the caster maces are like the only item without a new look :(
The grafix has been revised - mmo.champion.com. dunno if they are better tbh :<
back on topic.. gonna buu the gloves, head and legs. then ppl can't see I got imba gear. And i can choose the "Dualist" rank. hehe.. never underestimate a female dwarf

I have a question about this whole personal rating system...
Say s3 comes and I play my 3v3 from 1500 to 1850 in the first week, with me on every game. The instant we break 1850, can I go buy the weapon, or do personal rating only update on Tuesdays?
Cause yeah I want that weapon. The graphic on it is to impressive (I know, just a black illidan mace but still!). Looks over minor stat upgrade... except for the gloves of course. I'm not that retarded.

You will be able to pick up the mace as soon as you break the 1850 rating, as far as I have heart your personal rating updates right after the match.

i bought the s3 mace. figure it would be wise to have the points ready to spend when the rating hits 1850 so you don't drop your personal rating before u can buy it. now i have 1850points+rollover and probably go for the shoulders if we can cap 2k next wk. uhhm if all else fails i'll probably get the gloves for the c/d bonus
