I'm sure most of you know the pros and cons of axe/sword specs, so I won't dive into that really

however, will the 1% crit increase for the orc axe racial allow axe spec to be comparable/better than sword spec?

1% increase essentially increases the talent by 20%, which is nothing to scoff at.

just seeing the opinions of other pvpers :), thanks for reading/responding :)

Orcs should be axes, Humans should be swords/maces ... Dwarves should ... um ... right, be hunters?

Doesnt really matter, but IMO it would be stupid to pass up 1% crit since all the specs are supposed to be fairly similar, and the weapons are identical.

6% crit does the damage of 4.8% crit after resilience. And, sword spec can crit, adding increased burst. Also, when you crit an extra hamstring (1/17 of your hamstring crits can be attributed to axe mastery), you do 50 more dmg. When you sword spec proc on a hamstring (1/20), you get an extra swing.

there is no reason to get the axe, crit is negated by resilience, while the extra white hits from sword spec aren't (unless the crit of course) and with the upcoming mace nerf swords will start looking a lot popular

Mace is only being nerfed 1.2% on 3.8 speed weapons, meaning its still going to be the most dominant pvp spec.

Have you seen the season 3 mace, its not going to be dominating anything.

Oh don't worry I am completely aware of that. Didn't mean to troll, I just like to feign ignorance at times to express disbelief (example: holy crap 1% crit racial owns, WTB human warrior pst.)

And I'd totally get the axe if I were orc now. 1% whole crit is amazing. I'm using an axe at the moment anyhow (I also have s2 mace) and am very much enjoying it, it does not seem nearly as gimp as people say because of resilience.
