Could just be me, but the rankings page doesnt work. If you change one of the drop down menu's you get an error page. :(

More to the fact that, since it was re/moved, and replaced by a black sidebar, it kinda makes the layout seem incomplete. :/

I think it'd look better if the black was recoloured to match the beige/gray of the forums, imo. Granted, you'd have to redo the banner considering it's a .jpg :X

Fair enough. We have the source, so we can always change the header. Give it a couple days see if it still feels that way. It might just be your eyes expect something there because it has been there so long.

I kind of feel like the "Home Strategy..." bar is hanging kind of awkwardly at the moment, but I can't think of any quick fixes for it.

Perhaps elongate it to the same width of the forum header (User CP New Posts Search...) and use the same typeface as well? I could see it getting missed if you did that, but it might integrate itself a bit better. Perhaps have the character panel above it so it's almost flush with the rest of the body of the site.

It's a small thing so take this comment with a grain of salt.

Yeah, just seems the dark black background is too much of a hard contrast to the light/soft color of the forums.

The Nav Bar does get kind of lost, but it does seem to fit a bit better. What do you think? Could be resized for more oomph.

My only qualm is that the fonts on the forum now seem more... Vertical? Just looks kinda weird to me.

Yeah we've gotten this feedback from a few people. As Tyveris mentioned the forums haven't received as much attention as some of the other parts of the site. We're also wondering if perhaps the change was so abrupt from design to design that some features jump out as seeming out of place.

Glad you like it!

No the "Unknown Enchant" is not a bug with Armory...its more a problem with us having to manually look up each enchant from the Armory data and....well...its Friday night and we're being lazy :)

I promise we'll get them plugged in for you guys VERY VERY soon.

i love the new design, but miss having the quick links to my bg forums when i was logged in. typing in the nav bar or finding the right page seems more of a hassle than it was before

You still have the BG Forum links. They are located in the Forum navigation now though. Have a look at the top of the forum pages :)

I'll see if I can reconfigure the vbSearch to change the min word limit. It's a performance thing from what I understand. If not, I can add in the google search toolbar.

Some constructive criticism , don't take it to seriously since overall its nice.

I can't find the "newest posts" link anymore.

Fluid width forums are usually much more accommodating to account for various screen sizes. Considering gamers have very up to date hardware it would in most cases make the forum width wider and more readable. In my case the forum is now way to narrow.
At the very least the forum should be centered on the page.

There is to much contrast between the page elements and not enough definition and depth to separate content. The webpage looks very old school because of this.

No one does buttons like that anymore.

Ad placement is offsetting your layout.

The New Posts is in your profile block, but since a lot of people seem to have trouble finding it, we re-added it to the forums as well.

The various screen sizes issue, we have a lot of data on what screen sizes people use, and 1024 and 1280 are hands down the most common making up almost 75%. The other plus side to the fixed width is that it keeps the text from spanning too far left to right which imo makes it harder to read. If enough people prefer it the other way around it can be switched, it just might be a bit of work.

The ad placement has always set it off, but it might seem more apparently now because the background of the ad column matches the background of the site and the nav menu is no longer there. Fair enough.

I see, so the center content isn't popping out enough? We could certainly do something to the sides to give it more depth.

Its not the the center isn't popping out enough I just think overall the page lacks a certain depth and seems flat. This just makes things like the navbar and profile harder to see and thus some confusion in navigation.

Because you have a large ad on the right it will be hard to center the actual forum, no biggy. But get some modern css button rollovers, the new ones remind me of 5+ years ago.

I will say though they're a bit small now and hard to read, a good majority of the titles get clipped off as well.
