View Full Version : [2v2] Priest/hunter vs Druid/Warrior

So myself and a hunter 2v2 together right now we are at around 2050 and can find ways to beat most teams. The one team that has been completely impossible for us so far is the Druid warrior team. We try to Drain the druid while ice trapping and kiting the warrior but the druid just shifts to bear where he takes no damage , makes our mana drains useless and regens a good portion of his mana. Anyone have any advice for beating this team?

Its honestly not a beatable combo for you guys. The druid and warrior just chain charge the hunter and never get out of range. I hate to say that you can't win because its a terrible feeling, but in this situation, its true.

My Hunter and I alternate CCs on the Druid and kill the Warrior, usually some variation of:
Scatter Druid
Freeze Druid
I approach Druid, watch for trinket
Scream Druid
Silencing Shot Druid
Silence Druid
If that sequence is unsuccessful, we repeat it until we manage to catch the Druid without her trinket. The sequence is usually successful, though, even if the Druid does trinket. It's actually more difficult if the Warrior gets on my Hunter than if he gets on me, since it practically nullifies my Hunter's damage output.
We've been having mixed success in Mind Controlling Warriors and Rogues off my Hunter to give him range and to let Crippling or Hamstring wear off.
If you beat this combo then they are retarded ONLY thing you have going for you is freezing traps. When we run into this combo i kill hunters pet and druid stays in bear form.

Its really an extremely difficult combo to beat. Around 2150 rating, on my battle block, it seems thats the only thing you fight, so I have quite a bit of experience with them.
You can do what Wonder suggested, or you can chain freeze the warrior while focusing on the druid, and trying to catch the druid out of bearform, then fear him, and mana burn / viper. The game lasts much longer this way, but its doable.
Most of the time, it seems I only beat this combo if the warrior or druid is doing something wrong.
Its extremely important to keep the pet alive in order to keep the druid in combat more easily. Make sure your priest knows where he is and don't put him into stupid positions. If the warrior stays on the pet, you'll eventually need to dismiss him so your priest can drink.

I've found (in my many, many respecs) that against any Warrior/Druid team that knows what they're doing (and they all should at 2100+), keeping the pet on the Druid will be almost impossible between Hamstring + Entangling Roots + Hibernate + Warrior killing it.
I have no idea how Holy Priest/Hunter manage it.

i lost 60+ points straight, today facing different teams but with the same combo, war/druid.
As above ppl say we only seem to win if they make a mistake.
If they focus the priest, we try to chainfreeze the war, but he got trinket every fourth time. This way it seemed like we hat a shot but eventualy loose thnx to double proc mace stun or the war just beating us down. If they focus the pet from time to time they win, then we must heal the pet (pull him back) giving druid time to drink.
- atm harmstring is 15 sec i believe but they will put it on 10 /cheer, so many times he was able to catch up 1 sec before harmstring was over.
- hunters get disarm shot? i hope this will be reality it would relieve the pressure of me.
- arcane shot removes magic effect, to remove hots while dmging druid for example.
All changes that could help in making this fight "more" possible.

There really is no way to win unless the druid/warrior screw up.
the combo is not beatable if druid knows what bear form is.

Thats indeed only way we win atm, get warrrior los and druid far away and both full nuke the war. Then again i see as an error of them if we succeed in this. Oh and my hunter is BM, ppl automaticly thinks it is a mm all the time ;)
