Has anyone seen the season 3 main hand? World of raids has the new staff and offhand listed. I haven't seen the dagger yet. Anyone seen this or know the stats for it?

I'd assume they'd be the same as the s3 gavel, which is posted on mmo-champion atm.

Assuming endgame and not grimoire:

30 + 31 = 61 stam
20 + 21 = 41 int
0 0 crit
0 0 pen
17 17 hit
18 + 27 = 45 resil
247 + 35= 282 dmg

vrs.

62 stam
46 int
46 crit
35 pen
0 hit
29 resil
247 dmg

So Staff is

+1 stam
+5 int
+46 crit
+35 pen
-17 hit
-16 resil
-35 dmg

Is 46 crit, 10 hp, a bit of mana, and 35 pen better than 17 hit, 16 resil, and 35 dmg? Question of the month lol.

I think it comes down to preference. I'd say the dagger + offhand's +damage/+hit offset for the lack of crit and penetration the staff offers. I don't know the exact numbers, but 35 damage is pretty close to what 46 crit rating scales to in terms of spell damage. I usually go for more straight damage rather than crit. Our crits are already reduced by ~10% with resilience, so I find no use adding an additional ~2% that still puts our effective crit at less than 10%. The majority of our crits will come on frozen targets, and in that situation I don't see the +46 crit from the staff making a big difference. A lot of mages choose the staff solely on looks.

Get the War Staff Nodeuce (just kidding)!!!! But definitely the Silk Belt, Bracers, Boots next season.

The damage may offset the crit lost if you use the 1h...but what about the spell penetration for those pesky warlocks? I dunno. I started with staff this season (Yea I was noob, haha. At least I got points quick) and switched to 1h/offhand. With that penetration, the staff is now much more competetive in my opinion. Tough choice.
