So, today after making a very nice jump in my bankroll. (Made 30$ LOL)
Than losing my entire bankroll down to 2.75 I entered two DoN SnG's won both. Played four more. Won 4. I also noticed I get a pretty nice deal with the FPP too. Would Multi-Tabling these be a good way effectivly building a bankroll?
Saying this because bad beats in cash games are really driving me insane, although beating donks is all good. The price I lose playing with these kids just doenst seem fair. I have also tried tornaments but usually make the bubble and do alright than bust or bust pre bubble. IDK, Ranting.
My poker graph is literally Mount everest peak, than the bottom of niagra falls than mount everest than Niagra falls. Maybe im just a win lose player :/ UGH
I used this as a way to build up a bank roll about a year ago, i found it to be effective but boring.

These are alright for grinding, although from what i've read theres no high stake alternative (they stop at 100 dollars or something) so if you're planning on being uber pro and learn the play style for these there will come a point where you won't be able to move up further in stakes (this won't be a concern if you just play for fun / pocket money). Also bad beats in these will probably annoy you even more then in cash games as most of the late game play is pre flop shoving (in my very limited experience).

lol, in a DoN I just played I dipped to 0 chips and auto all in me. I won giving me 100 or so. than i got blinded again, i won 300 or so. than i called all in, won whent up to a 1000 and eventually won ><
So far I havent really profited a whole bunch. like 60% winning if that. Not sure, but the fpp is nice, a few more il get a small 10$ bonus to keep my br alive. Maybe I will try some 2$ Heads up? Learn some of that as it may be useful?

If you're just looking to build a starting bankroll then you may as well keep playing these if you find them profitable, they're supposed to be the lowest variance format you can play, but they can get quite dull (not speaking from experience though, just what I've read). I think as a starting player the most useful skills to learn are patience and discipline, and you can do that playing any format.

tons of variance in HU SNG, if you want low risk stick with DoNs til you hit like 60 and start with $2 HU SNG

btw remember you pay 34 dollars of rake for every 10 dollars of bonus you get so dont obsess over that too much.

These are easy yes. Just play tight, and mainly play your pocket pairs. If you hit on the flop, you'll be in for a good pot. Really, you have no idea how far you can get just by playing very tight starting hands and not even having to make any hard decisions because of it. For example: many people love playing suited cards, while in reality, even if you flop a flush draw, you'll only hit it 35% of the time after you hit the draw. This means you're basically putting money in the pot every time only to MORE than likely LOOSE the hand. Same with open ended straight draws, unless (to people playing hands like suited connectors very often etc) they'll more often than not not complete. I'm not saying you shouldn't play these cards: if you just do your pot odds and try to keep the pot low before you actually made your hand, these can perfectly be played, but especially for beginning players, I think very strong starting hands will give you the least risk. And especially in these types of sit&go's, I think it's important to play very tight, you don't need to get the chiplead, after all, but rather just end in the top 50%. Being first won't pay you more than 4th for example.

just tried these as i never knew they even existed on PS. The icm mathmatics of playing these is ridiculous.
Edit: meh, after trying these i think they are the least profitable SNG to grind. the 180/90/45man turbos are far more profitable tbh because everyone is far too tight. at least around the $6/$12 buy in level they are
