Arena Season 2 Gladiator Reward

Hopefully it won't be an armored netherdrake again, considering that at least half of the people qualifying for gladiator this season probably qualified last season as well.

Obviously it needs to be something that doesn't have a huge impact on the rest of the game, namely, PvE. I think an epic version of the PvP trinket could be nice, but that would just kind of help the strong get stronger.

Blizzard probably hasn't even made up their mind for what it will be yet. Maybe they could get some inspiration from this thread if any of them happen to troll this forum. ;P

Considering all our armor is reskinned PvE gear and that the weapon skins remain the exact same every season... I'm not exactly holding my breath for imaginative rewards.

i don't expect anything new but what i would LIKE would be some way to differentiate the higher ranked teams from the lower. I mean come the end of the season all the halfway decent teams will have mostly full arena epics.....everyone will have the same gear....

having something that differentiates you from the rest of the crowd like a special tabard....would be nice.

I also think they should have new titles every season and you should be able to keep your old one forever. That way the old schoolers can set themselves apart

Yeah I think original gladiators should be able to distinguish themselves. With so many new teams adding on to old ones, it isn't nearly as hard to get gladiator anymore.

The best we can hope for is a netherdrake of a slightly different color as the season 1 drake, what we will probably get is the exact same reward as season 1.

25% of the population have Challenger and 0.5% have Gladiator. So the priorities are clear. My money for title is on - Gladiator. They never changed the honor system titles either, even when they drastically lowered the rank requirements.

As someone else pointed out, I wonder if Blizzard is considering the fact that 0.5% of current teams is a heck of a lot more than 0.5% of teams was at the end of last season. Some guys in our battlegroup have a 666-rated 2v2, and it's ranked in 27565th place right now. That would qualify the top 137 teams for Gladiator, putting the cut-off (based on current rankings) around 2065 rating right now.

Blah. Anyway, I'd accept a couple of streamers to put on my current swift netherdrake. Give new Gladiators a mount, and give two-time Gladiators something to decorate it with.

I'd also accept a laser gun.

The amount of points it takes to get gladiator will go up, atleast in 2v2, when the season is close to ending, and people push to try to guarantee their spots. I'd imagine 2150'll be the cutoff on most realms, even if it's currently 2050, and was 2250 last season.
