Who the hell is always win trading late at night / early in the morning around 2k rating? The past few days we've tried to level two new teams and both times we kept getting streaks of games around 1950 rating where our opponents would never enter...

Idk warimi has stopped Qing for a while now =/ the last big bulk of points we got were from that cyclone warrior/druid team forgot the full team name but we got like 13-12ish. Haven't yet faced any high giving points since and i know what you mean DC into a 27 point loss just means having to waste the next 3 hours of your life making it up. Stupid DCing cova ^_-

Scrolls of Blinding Light is obsolete overall now obviously, but for cases like that I think it's awesome.

Top 93 got Gladiator titles last season. That's normally a good point of reference.

Eh, pretty much everything is annoying as a shaman... not just locks or 2 DPS.

The only way sham / warr ever wins is when the other team makes mistakes or just doesn't play well overall. We have no actual advantage over anyone.

We leveled a new team to 2160 today then got farmed down by druid teams. If they use feral charge well we don't really have a chance.

Most of them are cake but the ones who play well and control your warrior until he wants to break his keyboard and quit the game.... yeah they're annoying. Dunno if you've come across Woopsmybad when he plays with a hunter but they're probably the only good hunter / druid team I've seen so far, and the games usually ended with the druid sitting at ~80% mana :rolleyes: Played them 3 times and the first 2 weren't even close, third one was since we got the pet down pretty quick but he managed to get another one out with some well-coordinated CC. I think they were 37 - 0 at ~2100 when we went up against them.

My partner still can't decide if maces or swords are better for 2k+ games since they're all druids. Oh and I keep telling him tactical mastery would be good for spell reflecting more often but he likes endless rage too much to give it up... I'm also a little under-geared but not by much /shrug

Yeah, I just got your vent info so I'm gonna be coming in for some strats with warrior/druid and my new fav 3v3 combo warrior/rogue/druid (priest/warrior/druid was pretty lame, didn't like it because of the large amount of counters and plus our priest being emo and every arena night turning out into a bitchfest then bitching about how we'd never play with each other again and how we each carried each other didn't help either- but that's a whole nother story).

Yes actually we did play woopsmybad's team and it felt like simply put- hopelessness. First game I accidently pressed my windows key and when I came back, I was already dead. Second fight I didn't window out, but that was the first time we've been dominated by frost aura trap using hunters.

Uh... you think that's bad? Try losing 30 points per game at 2,200 to a bunch of scrub 2 DPS teams, at least that's what happens to sham / warr.

The reason is because no one at your rating was queueing at the same time as you, so they were your closest opponent even though they were probably 100 pts ahead of you.

Mention is definitely a better quality druid than Pawsom. The armory won't update but we're right on your tail Conviction :P! As far as mirror matches go you guys have the advantage in every single way (Perception, Shadowmeld, 27/34 spec, half cast gem, spell damage/resil gemmed etc..) and as far as i'm concerned i won't be going out of my way to change everything. Mirror matches don't account for everything as I have never lost to a warrior/druid, shaman/rogue, shaman/warrior which Cova stated you've had trouble with.

All the great warlocks of vengeance whether it be Conviction, Invid or me bring a different playstyle to the table as we all have held and defended #1 rankings.

As far as 2v2 goes, I'd be more then happy to set up some more matches with you Conviction :) win or lose I play arena for the competitive fun and I can't wait for the last 2 week rush to duke it out for vengeful glad :D

Eh, I wouldn't go by your # rank because a lot of people are on the Tournament realm, selling teams/points, raiding, helping friends etc... just assume you'll need at least 2300 if you want a mount. Last season I think the minimum was 2880 or something.

That's true, but getting 2280 is not easy at this point and I don't think it'll go up that high since it hasn't been nearly as long as season 2. I don't think I'll be capable of holding a glad spot for sure until probably the very last week, but we are gaining every single week in rating.

Until Cova stopped running away from me when he started getting foccused =P we haven't lost to a druid warrior since, but as you've mentionned racials come into play easily such as 5% health and warstomp. I've got to admit though I remember playing you guys in 3s and Mention was beastly as far as aggressive play goes he's really good. Like I said myself mirror matches aren't everything but we would love to set up some games too with you guys you're probably the most exciting mirror we could face on this BG =).

Heh, you do that in one of two ways: queue dodge or get a druid to play on your team when you keep hitting 2 DPS. It takes absolutely no skill for 2 DPS teams to beat sham / warr, and the fact that you can easily lose 30 points to some scrubs is completely retarded.

We have a lot of accounts to use and whenever we get to ~2100 we start making level 1 chars on other realms to avoid 2 DPS teams.

Did we play you last night? Don't really remember that well, just remember losing to a warlock/druid pretty early because of cyclone transitions on me and my druid. We hadn't played a good warlock/druid in a looong time and sticking on the warlock has worked for a while up until that point. Got new strategies now so I'm looking forward to some rematches.

Fought him today with a gnome warrior in 2200s and it was pretty bad on their part. He got lucky with a grounding totem absorbing spell lock but we still won...twice

Yesterday, we fought him with a human warrior and it was MUCH more difficult. I think his warriors are partially at fault.
2241 2v2 btw. I dunno why it's bad at updating =)

EDIT: Btw, I have NOT seen him drink exploit as I am not an outlast combo. I can say that he is one of the better shaman when it comes to going against double DPS combos which is what I run, but perhaps he is dumb when it comes to outlast battles that I have 0 experience in.

It just doesn't seem that they are good enough to get that high without facing/losing to any of the higher teams. Before everyone says that I can't know that, when I was levelling a 2v2 team, me and my druid ran into Minizilch and Footwerk (the now rank 1 team). I was mutilate, my druid was 8/11/42 (deep resto), and we beat them pretty badly. I killed their druid when he was at 10% mana and my druid was like 50% or 60% mana, with innervate up. Maybe they got a got better or something, but from the skill that I saw when we beat them, I really don't know how they went 83-4 or whatever, or went 10-0 to get to 2440. I would think that they would lose to cova or warimi or some warrior druid. Did anyone fight them around 2400?

My druid told me that he could go bear, and then cast cyclone out of bear and he did not get kicked on it ONCE, the ENTIRE game. My druid also told me that their druid was INCREDIBLY bad, as someone else here said. Makes me sad :(. However, at Cova and Warimi etc, me and my druid have decided to go for rank 1, so look forward to some good fights ^^. PS: My druid DOES have pve gear (full pve gear), but I have 0 pve gear. How the hell is Blocky's team at 2398? I'm sorry, but that kid is just terrible... I won't say that about many people but there's no way he should be up there. We farmed him and Elore for 60+ points the only day we saw them and none of the matches were even close. Elore must be frickin' amazing or something.


Oh, and don't say sham/warr counters sham/rogue cuz we've faced other teams like that who we seriously struggled against due to how aggressively the shamans played.

Pessimist came back a few weeks ago and we played horribly until he found out he was using rank 1 mana drain when he came back, but now I use him to counter warriors... but get raped by rogue/priests at like 2100 rating then lose 25+ points. For what it's worth, when we played them I was flurry and swords. Forgot to respec from 5's tri healer the first game we queued. I couldn't reflect traps but Cova ate 40% of them or so and we just wore them down. It was pretty close. Best strat is to bounce between the priest and the hunter, you'll lose if you try and tunnel vision the priest. Stay on the priest and switch to the Hunter when your Druid needs to CC or get away.

Double night elf is fucking gay though.

Oh and good games, yeah the feral charge DC sucked, after that I queued with 1600 PR and we lost 32 points due to Cova AND I DC'ing from network problems. Stupid as fuck.

I can't reflect if he scatter/traps, but Cova saves feral charge for when he scatters. Cova trades getting feared and possibly bursted for giving me more time to be active (by eating traps), meaning it's more aggressive but a better way of playing that team.

druid/warrior is a huge counter to us... we lose 25 points nearly every match we face one.

Warlock/Shaman, however, requires a bit of finesse.

I don't even know who the hell you are and im pretty sure i probably farmed you on my way to 2.4k on my main team. And to have you know im playing with 300-400MS every day as a druid unless it's like 2AM.

Don't waste my time, you're terrible as is blocky the only two good people out of your group of rejects is sword and Elore.

edit:Oh and if you must know disconnects and lag have probably amounted to half the losses on my 2v2, team. Had i had the connection i was using at the start of the season when i leveled my 2v2 and 3v3 teams, it would be a different conversation. And you can chalk it up to me making excuses, but i don't have to prove shit to you. Chio

Good Warrior + Druid teams don't have much of a counter, tbh. /armory Hafu and Rhaegyn sometime. Or-better yet-just check out a video or two! Perhaps then you and your Warrior will learn the ways of Defensive Stance and Pillar-Humping, young Cova.

I'd play you with a Rogue or a Warrior; it wouldn't matter. Truth be told, melee + healer teams *are* the counter to Warlock/Shaman. With Armor Pen the way it is, in addition to the Rogue buffs, our beloved combo is no longer as viable as it used to be.

Blocky and I were the first Warlock/Shaman team in this BG to achieve top rank. Not certain where you were at the time, but this was December '07 to January '08. Shortly after maintaining the rank for several weeks, I decided to quit the game.

WoW is an addicting game, as I'm sure we all realize, so I have come back. In the meantime, things have changed a bit. I'm no longer able to burn melee as easily, and with the mp/5 buff + mana drain nerf, Warlocks have steadily lost their representation in every bracket.

Back to the topic at hand:

Cova, I'm not certain of who you are, but I can assure you that, had you and Conviction played Blocky and myself, you both would have been farmed. Shaman/Warlock has no *hard* counters barring Priest/Rogue, but every game has the potential to be demanding because of our lack of reliable healer-generated CC.

Don't get me wrong: Shaman/Warlock is certainly viable, but it takes significantly more finesse to pull off than, say... Druid + X. Hence, if we beat you (and we likely shall), then I reserve the right to call you both "terrible" ad infinitum.

I'm not going to say im the best druid on the BG cause i most certainly am not, Footwerk, Soki, Mention, Fnode, are all amazing druids and I don't doubt that any of them will farm the crap out of you and Blocky.
