<1 Min from 11cst-2cst. Odds are no one >2100 is queuing then though and I end up waiting 3-5 anyways. Had some good games today against Priest/Rogue, Spriest/Rogue, and Druid/Hunter around that time tho.

I'm pretty sure we are the only competitive Priest/Hunter team >2200 right now. Last Tuesday we were around 2000-2100 though so it probably was us. There is another team called "Jesus MTd Our Sins" from my server thats ~2100 +- a few games that has like 700 games played, they're named Moure and Belarin.

Yeah I didn't mean to come across as an ass, that wasn't my intention, but people underestimate Lock/Paladin, ShsRogue/Druid and Druid/Warrior are the only matches we've lost more than we've won, don't want to sound cocky, but our stats don't lie. =/

Edit: Losing 90+ point in 7-8 games to Druid/Warrior(6 games) and 1 Shaman/Warrior really set me over the edge at just how powerful Druid/Warrior is and just how unstoppable they can be when they play at our level and make no mistakes. Will this plague go unnoticed?

i played with a paladin to get him his shoulders. we can win games, but thats because were both really good, and know how to play. we can win the games up to 2k cause the people who play lolezsetups arent as good, and get carried by the setup. lock/pally just has a tough time vs the common setups even when played by baddies. it doesnt stand a chance vs good setups when the other team is pretty damn good.

Yeah I raged about just how gimp Paladins are at everything in that bracket. One day you're on top of the world and the next a Druid rolls up and smashes your face into your own keyboard. It was entertaining Seriously. Him and Nano farmed me and my druid warrior back when I had no gear and I'd really like to see how I would do against them now. (I had 1400 healing, 300 resil, and used s1 feral/resto mix...)

The part I like is he airballed a few dragons breaths, and a few other spells, so you get the feeling that these are real clips and not just "oh that one game where we gibbed some amazing druid who had a memory lapse in 10s."

Meh, when I play at 2200+ we always get 2-5 point wins against 1700-1800 rated teams... I can't imagine warrior/warlock being past that. Anywho, it's like putting a bunch of Priest/Rogue clips in a Hunter/Druid video, there is no chance Warrior/Lock would ever beat Mage/Rogue so why even include it.

Believe it or not warrior/warlock can be an incredibly deadly combo, i think there is a 2400+ rated warrior/lock 2v2 team on some other battlegroup.

Believe it or not War/Lock is pretty viable, I'm friends with both of those guys (Quintero and Velmuth) and run two separate 2k point selling 3s with them. (War/Hunt/Dru & Lock/Hunt/Dru)

They're both excellent players.

I generally sit on my ass all day on Saturday. That's when I get my 3v3 and 5v5 point selling done (on multiple teams), as well as lots of 2v2 and screwing around on the server. I'm online from about 11 AM to 8-9 PM central time (with frequent breaks), if not also overnight. So I could be queued up any of that time.

To be certain of the fights, you (anyone) can just you make an alt and contact iynx or myself, and we'd be glad to arrange games. We're good sports and appreciate good opponents.

Yeah man the healing capabilities of an oom druid are pretty ridiculous. Offcell is pretty amazingly pro, it's true. It's fine you had to go, offcell had his 5s team waiting on him for that game to end, we should play again soon though.

Heh, we never lose against those teams. More accurately, we never lost against them when I was sword spec, which I do in fact miss. When playing against any of the following classes: warlock, priest; sword spec really puts us ahead with dpsing through those shields, or gibbing pets.

Of course, however, I had to go maces to not struggle so much against hunter/druid and warrior/druid mirrors.

P.S. Our 2v2 is 2323 rating atm, we have only lost like 20% of our games since I went mace (nerf maces), and I'm really eager to climb up the ladder.

Yeah they took out the part where your team takes a lose and loses points if both of you don't get into the game. Even though deadly boss mods doesn't tell what arena you get anymore people still like to be assholes.

PS: Blood elves suck, we have SO much trouble with both spriest/rogue (Teirisias/Bnatural, grrrrr....) and priest/rogue (Hawtchickirl/Weezybaby, even more grrrrr...) because of fears, any suggestions for how we can avoid getting into trouble with that?

Jasi's been crying about shadow viability for a lot longer than that. Shadow priests are perfectly viable, they just require specific team setups that have to be built around them, whereas disc can do well with just about anything.

As for the engineering belt, it's not necessary, but I'd imagine it helps a lot. My partner's never used it, and we were up to 2nd place before I transferred. From my experience dueling against people with it, it seems to backfire about 10-20% of the time, which really isn't very much for how useful it is. If anything, though, I think the rocket boots are a bigger boon in 2v2 for a shadow priest than the belt. I can think of quite a few games we lost because my priest was unable to get in range of fear, or unable to escape quickly enough, which rocket boots would help tremendously with.

Thanks man, we also shot way into first in 3v3 (we've been first for a week, but our PR was too low to get ranked from powerleveling).

The engi belt is not necessary and this is only the first week that I have had engineering for arenas (it's like 300g to powerlevel :/ the items themselves cost more to craft hah). The backfire rate is something like 10%(luckily hasn't happened yet to me), but you should just use it when you are about to die anyway and that way if it backfires it doesn't even matter--whereas if it works, you get use out of it. The boots are also really nice, but like I said neither are necessary.

I use a macro to dispel myself and partner(s) without losing targets. Don't have my game open right now but I believe it's '/cast [target=party1] dispel magic' for the person in the first party slot. I'll confirm this later tonight. So basically fear ward should go to your rogue, and when it gets dispelled he should try to cloak/vanish-immune the fear. If both fail, just get ready to dispel him (this can go horribly wrong, as he can get feared around a corner, feared out of range etc.) Essentially, spriest/rogue can counter-comp because of racials but if you dispel fears you can at least split games usually. As for priest/rogue, if your rogue is AR/prep just ride the rogue--he'll never catch you kiting him. If not, gib the priest; purge spam, early silence (with the changes to pain suppression, finally!), etc. CC train the rogue.

edit: Just realized you were probably asking for mage/rogue help against those teams. I have no experience with that setup other than knowing it counters spriest/rogue hard if their rogue is UD, and is very doable if not. So...yea, we lose to those teams when the mage/rogue setup an invisibility perfectly with the priest in decent LOS. Just have your rogue cloak when he's out of stuns and then vanish/re-open when cloak is down. Sorry this is horrid advice, but I don't play the combo! ;;

He paid people to quit queing for 5s so that they could farm the terrible teams that make it to top 20. Also just cause' you don't see people win trading and que dodging doesn't mean it isn't going on. what happened to fireace's 2v2? We queued against insane and nanolil 3 times this week (3-0), I was kind of disappointed to not see fireace playing... There were alot of really dumb mistakes made (insane not putting soul link on for our 2nd match), and I really wanted to play frost mage rogue vs. fire mage rogue :P

what happened to fireace's 2v2? We queued against insane and nanolil 3 times this week (3-0), I was kind of disappointed to not see fireace playing... There were alot of really dumb mistakes made (insane not putting soul link on for our 2nd match), and I really wanted to play frost mage rogue vs. fire mage rogue :P

Dreamstate got hit pretty hard with the changes to Lifebloom. Anything less than 5/5 emp rejuv can really hurt.

well when we first were gona play i thought i should be dreamstate, cept feral charge is Very useful when locking a warrior down =p. my rogue had imp EA and enveloping shadows from playing WRD, so not having vile poisons sucked >.> he finally respecd after it took like 10 minutes to kill a shaman because of it heh

edit: about teams giving trouble umm. warrior/shaman can be bad, and warrior/druid can suck too. that one time you almost gibd me with intercept-macestun-fear-macestun was pretty cool, and can be worse with winfury/sword proc. 2dps seems not that hard sitting on a rogue cause so easy to heal thru casters. (took 42 points from some spriest/rogue heh)

We played em a couple times the other day. The games were extremely close, got his druid to 1% and <5% like half a dozen times. I can't really say I'm disappointed, both sides seemed to play nigh-flawlessly, and simply gnome racial put them the slight amount ahead to win.

Actually, I'm not gonna even blame gnome racial on that, I'm gonna blame ring enchants. Damn ring enchants. I need to get those already. However, in fairness, the third game they played against us was a cleaner win.

Mmm I disagree on some points. It does make the setup ridiculously powerful (I think any setup becomes that much better with better gear on the rogue), but if it was legitimately overpowered, why aren't there more? By no means is BT considered "end-game" on most servers anyway. But, against some teams we just win without contest...I think PvP gear would obviously normalize wins/losses but I wouldn't discount the setup completely.

The only problem is...it is extremely rare for people to go on rogues. I sure hope people don't actually think my teammate wears PvP gear, but either way that's usually an auto-loss for the other team if that happens.

Blame rogue mechanics, blame itemization on Blizzard's part; I'll keep riding the wave though.

(PS. Dej was the first person to comment on how much damage I do. It's not just one of us who is doing damage, as much as people want to scape goat.)

The problem is that S3 SHOULD be the top of the line gear of pvp, and it's not even close. Clearly milk is a fucking baller, but his rogue's gear is an absolutely incredible boost, it's like he's wearing s4.5 while we're all stuck here in s3. THANKS CHEAT DEATH YOUR DEFINITELY NOT BROKEN.

That was the only rogue/druid worth our time, but we didn't play them on this charter. I think we went 4-2 or something against them, but my partner's spec pretty much countered them. Would be interesting now, druid changes included.

And my 2 cents concerning PvE gear in PvP:
If its in the game, you should be able to use it. Dory's embrace is PvE gear, and everyone uses it. Deep thunder was PvE gear, and everyone used it. Just like you have to farm for enchants and gems, which you cannot do in PvP (save some few gems from honor, hardly a complete set), it makes sense that you should have to PvE for some of your gear as well.

Blizzard is never going to completely isolate PvE and PvP from each other. Deal with it, and if PvE gear is overpowered, get some of your own. There is always a setup where you won't be the first target, so run that setup, and put on your overpowered gear. I sell points in 3v3 in triple threat setup (rogue/warlock/mage), and I've worn FULL PvE gear for the majority of the time that I play in that comp (all our teams are 1900-2000, not top of the line, but its something).

arena is supposed to be a competition of skill, not of gear. of course gear makes a big difference, but all the gear is generally the same in the higher brackets, thus making it more skill oriented.

arena shouldnt be compromised by drop rates of end game pve loot which are vastly superior to the pvp gear for some classes (rogues???). sorry but a rogue with 35% crit and 2200 atk power with cheat death will never be fair in my book.
