ATI and fraps

ive been trying to get clips for my video for a few weeks now, but all my clips are constantly flashing black. I have checked my settings and they are fine and everything is running fine in game, its just when i go to edit. I am using ati video cards and ive read that fraps has had some problems with ati cards. Ive tried updating my drivers as well as other things.

Can anyone help me?

I used to run fraps with an ATI card and the only problem I recall similar to yours is a white screen (rather than black) whenever I was recording and would hit an fps spike. Maybe black is the new white!

If you can't figure it out, try an alternative to fraps such as gamecam. Often times works just as well, but it might be a bit harder to find a legit copy ;)
