I forgot the exact terms, but if you are moving toward the target ^ then you get a damage increase, if you ar moving side to side < > then it increases your evasion/dodge chance and if you are backing up v then it increases your block or defense. The ^, <>, and v are the symbols that display below your chracter.
Hope that helps,
Zh

The game actually promotes moving around rather than standing in 1 spot.

most of the people frapsing are fucking awful so dont pay attention to that shit. mobility is very important in this game.

^ That. Most of the discussion you see in forums is amazingly lacking as well. I get the creepy sense that a lot of people parading around as experts on the fansites are clicking keyboard turners.

you just described 99% of aionsource. that place is like mmo-champion forums plus official class discussion forums combined into 1 disease-ridden bangbus. i dont even bother trying to post constructive discussion there anymore. everyone comes from MMOs where theorycrafting doesnt exist, and the players who come from WOW are the casuals who spend their time leveling every class to 80 and not doing endgame.

Yea :( WTB AionJunkies, lol. Too bad there probably won't be any rated competitive PvP.

Well, i find those forums lacking: "ok guys whots gonna be the next FoTM class?" "that shit should be nerfed couse it pwns me hard" "that will be the next FoTM spec" "that class will dominate next season, all aboard rerolling" etc, etc. I find them quite informative, and there are some pretty mature discussions there.
Of course it has bad sides: Aion fanboys defending the game to the dead and WoW fanboys refuting every single positive Aion thread.
But well... i'm a master of the use of the search botton, so i'm prety safe from the crap threads/trolls.
Btw, you have to be extremly careful when doing generalizations like that puting the whole community in the same bag.

Sometimes sweeping generalizations are warranted. For instance, the World of Warcraft PvP forums. There may be a few good threads there, but there is an awful lot of crap to sludge through. Aionsource isn't heavily moderated enough to keep out most of the crap, yet. But then again, it could just be that its goal is to have a community, and not to have higher quality resources.
